Set up Multibanco Payment Method for a WooCommerce Store

Multibanco is Portugal’s most popular payment method. With Multibanco, your customer’s can place orders online and pay for them later with cash. Multibanco is Portugal’s most popular payment method. With Multibanco, your shoppers can place orders online and pay for them later with cash. The customers are provided with options to pay online as well.

In this method, Multibanco payment method customers take action to send the amount to you through a receiver. The pushing of funds may take as little as a few minutes or at most seven days and this is done outside your checkout flow. Once the funds have been received the amount is immediately available to be charged. Upon charge, there is immediate confirmation about the success or failure of a payment.

Settings : Multibanco

  1. Firstlyinstall and activate the Stripe payment gateway for WooCommerce plugin.
  2. From the WordPress dashboard, go to WebToffee Stripe > General Settings > Local Gateways.
  3. Head on to Multibanco.

  • Multibanco pay: Enable to accept payments through multibanco.
  • Title: Enter a custom title for multibanco payment. This title will be visible on the checkout page.
  • Description: Enter a custom description for multibanco payment. This description will be visible on the checkout page.
  • Order Button Text: Enter a custom text to be displayed on the payment button.

Finally, click on the Save changes button to update the plugin settings.

Pay via Multibanco

  1. Customer validates his shopping cart.
  2. Customer selects Multibanco at the checkout.
  3. Customer notes or prints the voucher references generated by Multibanco.
  4. Settles his purchase from the online bank or from an ATM.
  5. Multibanco authorizes the invoice payment.
  6. The Merchant is notified of the payment, and then he delivers the order.
