Cash App Pay is a payment method available to all Cash App customers, useful for both single-use and recurring payments. With WebToffee’s WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin, store owners can accept payments via the Cash App Pay payment method provided by the plugin under the Stripe Checkout payment option. While using Cash App Pay, customers can make payments from their Cash App balance, linked bank account, or linked credit or debit cards.
Note: The following conditions need to be satisfied for receiving payments through Cash App Pay:
- This payment method is primarily used within the US and UK regions.
- It facilitates transactions in US dollars only.
Prerequisite
- Install and activate WebToffee’s WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin.
- Stripe account with a US background to receive payments.
- Cash App Pay installed on the customer’s mobile device.
Enabling Cash App Pay
To enable Cash App Pay, follow the below steps:
- Login to your Stripe account.
- Head to the Stripe dashboard.
- From the dashboard, head to Settings > Payments > Payment methods.
- Scroll down to the Wallets section and turn on Cash App Pay.
Now, the Cash App Pay payment method will be available for customers within the Stripe Checkout.
Completing a payment using the Cash App Pay
Here are the steps that the customer making a purchase will have to follow to complete the payment using the Cash App Pay:
- Add products to the cart page.
- Proceed to the checkout page and fill in the necessary billing details.
- Choose Stripe Checkout as the payment option and click the Pay via Stripe Checkout button.
- From the Stripe Checkout window, select Cash App Pay as the payment method.
- Then, click on the Reveal QR code button. A QR code appears.
- Now, scan the Cash App Pay QR code using your mobile device and complete the payment.
Upon completing the payment, you’ll receive a payment successful message, followed by a successful order completion.
