Adding additional product details enhances and personalizes proforma invoices. With WebToffee’s WooCommerce Proforma Invoices Plugin, store owners can add product meta fields to proforma invoices.
Add product meta – WooCommerce proforma invoices
From your WordPress dashboard, go to , Invoice/Packing > Proforma Invoice > General. This is the section where you can configure the settings for your Proforma Invoices.
Step 2: Locate the Product Meta Fields Option
Scroll down to the Advanced section within the General settings. You will find the option for Product Meta Fields here.
Step 3: Add a New Meta Field
To insert a product meta field, click Add/Edit Product Meta.
- Field Name: Enter the name of the field (e.g., SKU, weight, dimensions).
- Meta Key: Provide the corresponding meta key (e.g.,
_sku,_weight,_length,_width,_height).
After adding the field details, hit Save to add the new meta field.
Step 4: Apply Changes and Save Settings
Once you’ve added the required product meta fields, click Update Settings to save the changes in your Proforma Invoices.
Step 5: Preview the Proforma Invoice
Preview your proforma invoice to ensure the product meta fields are displayed correctly.
Example – Include product dimensions and SKU to proforma invoices
Let’s say you want to add the product dimensions (length, width, height) and SKU to your proforma invoice. Here’s how you can do it:
- Field Name: Product Dimensions / SKU
- Meta Key:
_length,_width,_height,_sku
