Your store may have all type of products and selectively pick and export only the variable products may seem like a difficult task. The Product Import Export Plugin for WooCommerce will help you export all the variable products in your WooCommerce store quickly and easily.

The Product Import Export Plugin for WooCommerce allows you to Export all different products into a CSV or XML  file. It also gives you the power to export only one product type into a CSV or XML file. This can help you keep separate CSV or XML files for different product types.

Let’s understand exporting a variable product into a CSV, using the Product Import Export Plugin for WooCommerce.

The following are the steps to export a variable product.

Navigate to WooCommerce > Product Im-Ex section from your WooCommerce store dashboard. Under the Product tab, move to Export Product in CSV/XML Format section by clicking on the Export tab, as shown below:

To export only the variable products of your WooCommerce store, From the Product Types field, enter the Variable product.

If you wish to skip a certain number of products, enter an offset value from which you wish to start the export. You can specify a limit to export a finite number of products. You can also specify specific product categories to be exported. Configure other settings and select desired columns to be exported and click Export Products (CSV) to start exporting products. The CSV file will be automatically downloaded on your computer.

The following is the resulting CSV that will be downloaded to your computer.

    Thank you for this in-depth tutorial. I am trying to work on product variations but not getting the actual results as I have already gone through several resources and following this resource https://wpitech.com/woocommerce-product-variation/ to implement the product variation process. Can you please describe me further how to do this? This is the code that I think is somehow wrong. Is there any other way to set product variations?

    $variation_id = woo_insert_post( $variation_post );
    $variation = new WooCommerce_Product_Variation( $variation_id );
    foreach ($variation_data[‘attributes’] as $attribute => $term_name )

      Hi,

      You can import variable products to your Woocommerce store using the Product import-export plugin without hassles. You may please provide the product details in the CSV file and map the columns against corresponding fields to import it. For a better understanding of how to create the CSV file and the data format used in it, you can go through the documentation on how to import variable products using the plugin.

    I’m not getting the same output as this…is there a screenshot of how the product data of that specific product is set up in Woocommerce? I feel like I may not have things set correctly there.
