With WebToffee’s WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips, and Credit Notes plugin, store owners can effortlessly generate invoices, packing slips, and credit notes for their WooCommerce store. The plugin also allows store owners to export invoices, packing slips, and credit notes as a zip file. Additionally, store owners can refine the export process by filtering orders based on date and time, order statuses, users, and payment methods.
Here are the key steps involved in exporting invoices, packing slips, and credit notes:
- Head to the Reports menu.
- Select the document type to export.
- Apply the filters.
- Export the documents as a ZIP file.
Note:
- While exporting invoices, only existing invoices will be included in the ZIP file.
- When exporting packing slips, packing slips for all orders will be included in the zip file, regardless of whether they have been generated or not.
Export as a zip file – WooCommerce invoices, packing slips, credit notes
Here are the detailed steps:
Step 1: Head to the Reports menu
- Navigate to Invoice/Packing > Reports from the WordPress dashboard.
Step 2: Select the document type to export
- From the dropdown menu, select the document type. You can export invoices, packing slips, or credit notes. On selecting a document type, the plugin will display the respective document count.
Step 3: Apply the filters
- Now, use the filters to refine the export process.
Filters include:
- Based on the order date or invoice date: This filter is exclusive to invoices, allowing you to sort them based on the order date or the invoice date. It works alongside the Date and Time filter. First, choose whether to filter by the order date or invoice date and then select a specific timespan (e.g., today, this week, this month) under the Date and Time filter.
- Date and time: Choose orders from a predefined time period, such as a week, a month, or a year, or select a custom period by specifying a start and end date. Only orders within the chosen timeframe will be included in the zip file. For packing slips and credit notes, this filter sorts orders based on the order date.
- Order statuses: Choose the preferred order statuses from the dropdown. The plugin will consider only orders that match these order statuses for export.
- Users: Here, you can filter orders based on users. The dropdown has three options to choose from:
- All users: Orders from all users will be included in the export file.
- Selected users: On selection, another dropdown appears where you can select users. Only orders placed by these users will be included in the export file.
- All users except: On selection, another dropdown appears where you can exclude specific users. Orders from these users will be excluded from the export file.
- Payment methods: Filter orders using the payment method. When you select a specific payment method, the system will only consider orders paid using that method. If left unselected, the system will include all orders.
Step 4: Export the documents as a ZIP file
- Click Export as ZIP to begin exporting the documents as a ZIP file. A progress indicator will display the export status, and once complete, the ZIP file will automatically download to your system.
Upon unzipping the file, the documents will be available in the PDF format as shown below:
