Google Additional Consent

Last updated on August 29, 2024

Google Additional Consent is a specification that allows TCF v2.2-compliant publishers to obtain consent and work with ad tech providers that are not registered with the IAB Europe’s Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) but are listed on Google’s Ad Tech Providers (ATP) list.

To activate, a website must utilize a CMP like the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin, which aligns with the framework’s standards.

  1. From the dashboard, navigate to GDPR Cookie consent > General.
  2. Click on the Enable IAB TCF 2.2 support option. This will enable the additional consent option alongside it.
  3. To enable Google’s additional consent, click on Support Google additional consent.
