Multiple cookie consent banners

Various countries or regions may have distinct regulations concerning online privacy and cookie usage. It’s crucial to thoroughly examine the legal requirements in your users’ locations and adjust your banner accordingly. Providing customized banners based on user location can enhance the user experience by aligning with regional norms and expectations.

Currently, banners can be set separately for European and American users using WebToffee’s GDPR Cookie Consent Plugin. This can be done by following the below-mentioned steps:

Steps to implement multiple banners

  1. From the dashboard, navigate to Cookie Consent > Cookie Banner.
  2. Select both GDPR and CCPR in the Consent law.

  1. To set the first banner, select the law as GDPR in the Customize option, and move on to the General tab.
    1. Here, from the Geo-target banner option, select EU Countries & UK.
    2. Click on Update Settings.

  1. To set the next banner, Select the law as US State Law from the Customize option dropdown list box, and move on to the General tab.
    1. Here, from the Geo-target banner option, Select United States.
    2. Click on Update Settings.

  1. This will set multiple banners based on regions. Visitors from European countries will see the GDPR banner and the Visitors from US states would see a CCPA banner.
