WebToffee’s WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin allows store owners to easily integrate the Stripe payment gateway into their WooCommerce store. Saving card details during purchases makes future purchases quicker and easier for customers. With the plugin, store owners can provide their customers with an option to save their card details for further transactions. Let’s check this out in this article.
Saving customer’s card details
Note: Our plugin uses the WooCommerce Payment Token API to securely store saved card details. It only saves the customer ID and payment method from Stripe without storing sensitive information like the CVV or expiration date.
Here are the steps to follow to save card details easily:
- From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to WebToffee Stripe > Credit/ Debit cards.
- Under the Settings section, scroll down and enable the Save cards for later option.

- Click on Save Changes to update the changes.
- Now, when the customer adds a new card detail, they will be presented with an option to save the card details to their account.
- When the Save to account option is checked. The card details will be saved for future use.
Use Case
The store owner enables the option to save the card details. A customer then heads to the store and completes an order by entering the card details under the Stripe payment method. Also enables the Save to account option to save the card details for further use. In the future, when the customer returns to make a purchase from the same store, the card details will appear under the Stripe payment method, making card payments easier with a single click.
