Generating WooCommerce Invoices for Free Orders

In WooCommerce stores, 100% off coupons drive sales by letting customers grab items for free. This makes shopping better and encourages customers to return for more. Using WebToffee’s WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips, Delivery Notes, and Shipping Labels plugin, store owners can easily generate invoices for free purchases made from the store.

Here are the detailed steps:

1. Navigate to Invoice/Packing > Invoice > General from the WordPress dashboard.
2. Under the General section, find the Automate invoice creation option.
3. From the dropdown, select the order statuses for which you wish to auto-generate invoices.
4. Now, scroll down to the Others section.
5. Enable the Generate invoices for free orders option.
6. Finally, click on Update Settings.

The store owner chooses “Completed” and “Processing” as the order statuses for auto invoice generation, alongside enabling the option to generate invoices for free orders. For instance, if a customer uses a 100% off coupon to make a purchase, resulting in a free order, and the order status changes to “Completed” or “Processing,” the plugin will automatically generate an invoice for the order.
