The WebToffee WooCommerce Product Recommendations plugin allows you to automate your sales strategy by displaying suggestion widgets only on specific days of the week. To set this up, navigate to WooCommerce > Product Recommendations, then open the ‘Display conditions’ section in your campaign settings. By selecting ‘Viewing day’ and choosing your desired day (e.g., Saturday), you can ensure that themed recommendations automatically appear and disappear based on the customer’s local day of the week.
Show WooCommerce Recommendations on Specific Days
To display a product recommendation only on a selected day of the week:
- From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to WooCommerce > Product Recommendations.
- Either select an existing recommendation or choose to create a new one.
- From the recommendation edit window, configure the recommendation as needed. For detailed information on how to customize your recommendation, refer to the article, Generic Steps to Create a Custom Product Recommendation.
- Scroll down to Display conditions settings.
- From the drop-down, select the option Viewing day.
- To display recommendations on a selected day, from the 2nd drop-down, select is.
- Alternatively, to display recommendations on every day except the selected day, from the 2nd drop-down, select is not.
- Now, select the day you want to display the recommendations on from the 3rd drop-down.
- For the shown combination, the recommendation will only be visible on Wednesdays.
- Save the changes.
Now, this particular recommendation will only be visible on a selected day.
Recommendations on multiple days of the week
Alternatively, to display recommendations on multiple days of the week, add another Display criteria filter with the required days as shown below:
The recommendations for the combination will be displayed every Saturday and Sunday.
