The WooCommerce Picklists Plugin by WebToffee adds powerful functionalities to your order management process. Designed as an add-on to the free WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips, Delivery Notes, and Shipping Labels plugin, this tool helps you auto-generate picklists, email them to the right people, group items for easier picking, and customize layouts to suit your store’s workflow.
Prerequisites
- Before setting up picklists, make sure to install and activate these plugins:
- Fill in the basic store details.
- If you’re installing both the free and pro plugins for the first time, a Setup Wizard will launch automatically when you navigate to the Invoice/Packing menu.
- The wizard helps configure basic store details (store name, address, contact, etc.).
- You can skip the wizard if preferred. If so, make sure to configure the basic store details manually via Invoice/Packing > General Settings > General.
Essential Settings for Picklist
This guide walks you through the minimal but crucial settings required to generate clean, usable picklists for order fulfillment.
1. Accessing the Picklist Settings
- Navigate to Invoice/Packing > Picklist from the dashboard.
2. Enable Auto-Generation and Emailing
- Under the General section, look for “Email picklist automatically to.”
- Choose one or more order statuses (e.g., Processing, Completed) where picklists should be automatically created and sent as PDFs. This saves time and ensures warehouse teams receive documents as soon as orders are ready for picking.

3. Product Display Options
Group Products by Category
- Helps organize items by category (e.g., Shirts, Accessories) for faster picking. To know more, check out the following article: Order-Based Grouping in WooCommerce Picklists.
Show Variation Data
- Enable the option to display size, color, or other product variations below the item name—critical for distinguishing SKUs.
Sort Products by “Name,” “SKU,” or “Unit Weight”
- Choose based on what works best in your warehouse—whether that’s alphabetical order or SKU sequence.
These settings create a clear, scannable picklist layout for your fulfillment team.

Customize your picklists further with these helpful articles:

Could you please confirm something? Grouping the products….. I have a requirement to select multiple orders and if the same product(s) are in multiple orders your plugin will group/collate these products to make the physical warehouse picking process more efficient?
Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike,
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes, this is possible with the WooCommerce Picklists Plugin. To achieve this, you’ll need to disable the Group Products by Order option. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Navigate to Invoice/Packing > Picklist > General from your WordPress dashboard.
2. Scroll down to the Product Display section.
3. Disable the Group Products by Order option.
4. Click on Update Settings.
Once this option is disabled, the picklist generated for multiple orders will consolidate the products based on total quantities rather than grouping them by individual orders. This will make the picking process more efficient by listing items collectively.
If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our customer support team. They’ll be happy to assist you.

Quick question. One of the things about a picklist is knowing where in a warehouse to find something. How do you recommend handling the physical location of a product?

Hi Toby,
Thanks for reaching out!
While our plugin excels at generating picklists for orders, it doesn’t directly manage the physical location of products within the warehouse.
