What are Product Attributes in WooCommerce?

In WooCommerce, product attributes define the additional data related to a product. Product attributes are characteristics that include size, color, and other features that make it distinct from other products. They are useful when you sell products with multiple variations. 

Attributes give more options to customers when buying products. Based on the defined product attributes, the store owners can create different variations of the product.

Two types of product attributes in WooCommerce are:

Global Attributes: These are attributes that can be applied to multiple products across your WooCommerce store. For example, if you sell clothing, you might have global attributes like “size” and “color.” You can define these attributes in the WooCommerce settings, and they can be used for different products.

Custom Attributes: These are attributes that are unique to a specific product and may not apply to other products. For instance, if you sell laptops, a custom attribute could be “screen size” or “processor type.” Custom attributes are specific to individual products and provide more detailed information about those products.
