Test for Theme Conflicts in Related Products for WooCommerce

Last updated on August 20, 2025

In certain situations, while using the Related Products – Product Recommendations for WooCommerce plugin by WebToffee, users may encounter common issues such as layout problems or related products not being displayed as expected. These conflicts arise due to compatibility issues between the active theme and installed plugins. This article focuses on several ways to test for theme conflicts in related products for WooCommerce and resolve these conflicts.

1. Check for theme and plugin updates

Start by ensuring that your theme and plugins, including the Related Products – Product Recommendations for WooCommerce, are up-to-date. Developers frequently release updates to address compatibility issues and to fix bugs.

2. Enable override theme template

If you are still experiencing an issue with the related product layout, try overriding the theme’s existing template for related products( override the theme’s built-in related products section with the plugin).

Follow these steps:

  • Navigate to WooCommerce > Related Products >Settings
  • Scroll down to the bottom and enable the Override theme’s template
  • Click on Save Changes to apply the settings.

3. Switch to a default theme

Activate a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty or Storefront to determine if the issue is specific to your active theme. If the problem is resolved with the default theme, it indicates a conflict with your previous theme.

4. Reach out to the theme support

If the conflict persists, contact your theme’s support team. Please provide them with detailed information about the issue. They can offer assistance or suggest specific theme-related solutions.

5. Reach out to plugin support

If the issue remains unresolved, contact our plugin technical support team with the theme zip file, including the child theme.
