Adding Print Buttons for Shipping, Dispatch & Delivery Notes in Order Emails

Last updated on October 8, 2025

The WooCommerce Shipping Labels, Dispatch Labels, and Delivery Notes plugin provides multiple ways to make order documents easily accessible for your customers. You can configure the plugin to automatically:

  • Add print buttons for Shipping Labels, Dispatch Labels, and Delivery notes directly inside order emails.
  • Attach Delivery Notes as PDFs to customer emails.

This ensures customers can print the required documents from order emails.

Add Print Buttons for Shipping and Dispatch Labels

Both Shipping Labels and Dispatch Labels allow you to add print buttons in order emails for selected statuses.

Steps

  1. Go to Invoice/Packing > Shipping label or Invoice/Packing > Dispatch label.
  2. Under the General > Print section, find:
    • Show ‘Print Shipping Label’ button for selected order statuses OR
    • Show ‘Print Dispatch Label’ button for selected order statuses
  3. Choose the desired order statuses from the dropdown.
  4. Click Update Settings.

Result

  • When an order moves to the chosen status, the customer receives a WooCommerce order email with a Print Shipping Label and a Print Dispatch Label button.

Attach Delivery Note PDF and Print Button

The Delivery Note offers two unique options under its Print settings:

1. Attach Delivery Note PDF

  1. Go to Invoice/Packing > Delivery note > General.
  2. In the Print section, find the Attach delivery note PDF in the order email option.
  3. Select one or more order statuses (e.g., Processing, Completed).
  4. Click Update Settings to save changes.
📌

A PDF copy of the delivery note will now be attached to all order emails sent at those statuses.

2. Add a Print Delivery Note Button

  1. In the same Print section, enable the Show print delivery note button option.
  2. Click Update Settings.
📌

A Print Delivery Note button will appear in the customer’s order email.

Control Print Button Access

Even if the buttons appear in customer emails, who can actually use them depends on the global setting in: Invoice/Packing > General Settings > Print button access for

  • Logged in users – Only customers who are logged in to their store account can use the button.
  • All users – Anyone with the email (logged in or not) can access and print the documents.

Choose the setting based on your store’s security needs. For example:

  • Use Logged in users if documents should only be available to verified customers.
  • Use All users if you want to simplify access for all recipients.
