How to Configure User Privileges for WooCommerce Quotes

Last updated on June 9, 2026

The WooCommerce WebToffee’s Request a Quotes plugin allows restricting users who can get involved in the quoting process. This can be achieved by setting user privilege through the Allowed user role for quote functionality option. We set user privilege to control which user roles can access and participate in the quote process. This ensures only authorized or relevant users (e.g., wholesale or B2B customers) can request quotes, improving workflow and security.

Setting User Privilege

Follow the below-mentioned steps to decide to set user privileges:

  1. From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Quotes > Settings.
  2. In the Settings page, head to the Advanced tab.
  3. Now, select the users from the Allow user role for quote functionality option. All the user types on the website will be listed here including the guest users.

By setting user privileges in the Request a Quote plugin, store owners can effectively control who can access and use the quote functionality. This ensures a secure, streamlined, and role-based quoting process tailored to business needs.

Hide from guest users

Every quote is associated with a user account. So, it would be appropriate to hide the ‘Add to quote’ button from the guest users as they don’t have a registered account. WebToffee WooCommerce Request a Quote plugin allows this by disabling the “Add to quote” button for the guest users. Remove Guest from the “Allowed user role for quote functionality
