Data can be imported from WooCommerce to Shopify using the WooCommerce API in the StoreRobo Import Export Suite by generating API credentials in WooCommerce, connecting your Shopify store using the Consumer Key and Secret, and running the import from the WooCommerce API option. This enables direct product migration between the two platforms without using CSV files.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to generate the API key, connect your store, and complete the import step by step.
Step 1: Generate WooCommerce API Key
To generate WooCommerce API Key:
- From your WooCommerce site, go to WooCommerce > Settings.
- Click on Advanced > RestAPI.
- Click on “Add Key” or “Create API Key” button.
- Provide the description, specify the username, and set the permissions.

- Click on Generate API Key.
- On the successful generation of the API key, a screen will appear as shown below.

- Copy the Consumer key and Consumer secret for future use.
Step 2: Connect WooCommerce to Shopify
To connect the Shopify store to the WooCommerce site:
- From the Shopify admin dashboard, click on Apps > StoreRobo > Home.
- Under Import Products, select WooCommerce API. Paste the Consumer Key, Consumer secret and provide the server name. Click on Connect.

- Once connected, select the data type to import.
- Click on Proceed to import.

- Configure the Import Filters and import Options. The below image shows an example.
- Click on Import to finish.

On successful completion of the import process, the user will be notified via email.
