Exporting Shopify store data to an Excel file is useful for managing and analyzing large datasets in a structured format. Excel files allow you to organize data across multiple sheets, making it easier to view, filter, and update information such as products, orders, customers, and more.
With the StoreRobo Import Export App, you can export Shopify data to an Excel (.xlsx) file by selecting the Shopify Excel template, choosing the required data types, configuring export options, and running the export.
Steps to export Shopify data to an Excel file
Step 1: Choose the export template
Go to Apps > StoreRobo > Home from your Shopify admin dashboard.
Under the Export section:
- Select the export template as Shopify Excel

- Click Proceed
Step 2: Select data to export
Under Select data:
- Choose the required data type(s), such as:
- Products
- Orders
- Customers
- Discounts
- Collections, etc.

- Expand each selected data type to:
- Choose specific columns
- Apply filters if required
If multiple data types are selected, each will be exported to a separate worksheet in the same Excel file.
Step 3: Configure export options
- (Optional) Enable Export file to FTP/SFTP if you want to upload the file to a server
- (Optional) Save your configuration as a preset for future use
- Choose to:
- Export immediately, or
- Schedule the export
Step 4: Export the data
Click Export to begin the process.

- Monitor the export progress until the status changes to Completed
- Once completed:
- Download the Excel file, or
- Access it from your configured FTP/SFTP location
