PayPal: Alternative Payment Methods and Their Usage

PayPal serves as a secure and convenient payment solution that can be seamlessly incorporated into a WooCommerce store. Other than the standard PayPal payment gateway, PayPal also provides some alternative payment methods, these methods empower customers worldwide to make payments using their bank accounts, digital wallets, and localized payment preferences.

• Install and activate the plugin.
• Make sure the Payment Button is set to Smart Button.

In PayPal Express Checkout Payment Gateway for WooCommerce, there is no need to activate alternative payment methods independently. Activating the Smart Button feature automatically integrates eligible alternative payment methods.

Enabling the Smart Button will automatically add all eligible payment methods to the site. But it is possible to remove any of the payment methods from the site if needed.

For example, consider a site with the Debit or Credit Card payment method available.

To disable the payment method:

• From the WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Express.
• Click on Manage.
• Scroll down to the PayPal Smart Button section.
• From the Disable funding sources field, select the payment method to disable(Debit or Credit Card).
• Save settings.

Now the selected payment method, Debit or Credit Card will get removed from the store.
