With the WebToffee WooCommerce Gift Cards plugin, you can offer customers a range of gift card designs grouped into template galleries. Go to Gift Cards > General settings > Template settings to group designs into themed collections, such as Birthday or Christmas. By enabling template selection on your gift card product page, you provide a personalized experience that lets shoppers choose the exact look of the gift card their recipient will receive.
This article shows you how to add templates and create template galleries.
Prerequisites
- Install and activate the WebToffee WooCommerce Gift Cards plugin.
- Create a gift card product for your store. For more details on adding a gift card product to your store, refer to the article, How to add gift card products to your WooCommerce store.
Install and set up the plugin
To begin with,
- Install and activate the WebToffee WooCommerce Gift Cards plugin.
- Navigate to Gift Cards > General settings > Template settings.
By default, the plugin offers a range of template galleries to enhance convenience. These galleries include:
- General
- Birthday
- New year
- Anniversary
- Christmas
You can add new image galleries or new templates to existing galleries.
Add templates to existing galleries
To add a new template under the existing gallery,
- Under the Templates section, click the “ + Add new template “ button.
- Upload the template image.
- Select the preferred category from the categories dropdown.
- Click Add new to publish the new template.
The template will now appear under the selected category/gallery.
Adding a new template gallery/category
You can create a new template category when you add a new template,
- Under the Templates section, click the “ + Add new template “ button.
- Upload the template image.
- Select “Add new category” from the categories dropdown.
- Add the new category name.
- Click on Add new.
The new template gallery will be visible under the Templates section.
The template has now been added to the plugin’s gallery and is available for display in the store. To ensure it appears for users to select, enable the option “Allow customer to choose a template” under Gift card product add/edit page > Product data > Template settings when creating a new gift card product.

Hi!
Thanks for the guide. I do have one question however, how do you delete templates? I do not see a delete button and for some reason some of the templates have duplicated, the reason for the deletion.

Hi Steven,
Thanks for the kind words, and great question! You can delete a custom template from Gift Cards → General Settings → Template Settings, under the Templates section. Hover over the thumbnail of the template you want to remove; a trash icon will appear in the overlay, and clicking it deletes that entry.
A couple of things worth noting:
• The delete option only shows for custom templates you’ve added yourself. You can’t remove the default templates that ship with the plugin.
• Deleting a template doesn’t remove the uploaded image from your Media Library, so you can clear that out manually afterward if you no longer need it.
That should also take care of the duplicate templates; just hover over the extra copies and delete them. Hope this helps, and feel free to reach out if anything else comes up!
