SF Product Recommendations provides a comprehensive solution to enhance product recommendations on your Shopify store. It offers a variety of recommendation widgets that seamlessly integrate with your store and can be tailored to suit your customers’ preferences. If you haven’t enabled the App embed option for your recommendation provider, the recommendations won’t automatically be displayed on the storefront. You will have to add them to the store manually. This guide explains the process of installing Recommendation Widgets in a Shopify store manually.
- Create widget.
- Copy the widget ID.
- Go to the Shopify theme editor.
- Select the widget from the sidebar.
- Paste the widget ID.
- Save settings.
Install a recommendation widget in the store
Once the recommendation is all set, clicking the Create widget will open a pop-up with instructions for installing it in the store.
- Click on Copy ID from the pop-up to copy the widget ID to your clipboard.
- Once the widget ID is copied, click Go to editor to access the Shopify theme editor.
This will redirect you to the Shopify Theme editor. To activate the recommendation widget:
- Select the Storefrog Smart Widget option from the sidebar Theme editor under the App section.
- Paste the Widget ID under the Widget-ID field in the newly opened window.
- Finally, click on Save to activate the recommendation widget on the store.
Now, the widget will be displayed on the front end of the store.
