Often the website uses Cookie consent banners to collect visitor consent for the use of cookies. There may have been instances where the cookie banner disappears after accepting or rejecting, and you wish to reinstate it to your website. This is where the revisit consent comes into play.
Revisit consent
Revisit consent allows the visitors to view/edit/revoke their prior preferences. In the GDPR cookie consent plugin, we can do this either using a widget or a short code.
After installing and activating the plugin, navigate through GDPR Cookie Consent > Settings> Customise Cookie Bar> Revisit consent.
Enabling Privacy & Cookies Policy
- Select the Enable revisit consent widget.
- Specify the Tab Position.
- Use the From Right Margin to position the widget.
- Add Title to customise the text on the widget.
- Click on Update Settings.
A small privacy widget will be displayed at the footer of your website when the revisit consent is enabled.
You can also manually insert a link to manage consent by adding the shortcode: [wt_cli_manage_consent] to your website.
Disabling Privacy & Cookies Policy
- Deselect the Enable revisit consent widget.
- Click on Update Settings.
The ‘Privacy and Cookie Policy’ tab will get hidden from the users when the revisit consent widget is disabled. However, proceeding further with the recorded consent taken before.

Muchas gracias.
