WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips and Credit Notes plugin allows attaching PDF invoices in the default WooCommerce order email. Both admin and customer order emails can have an invoice as PDF attached. In addition to that, print and download invoices from email, order listing page, and summary. Following the below-mentioned steps to achieve this.
- Set up automatic invoice creation for multiple order statuses.
- Attach the generated Invoice as PDF to the order emails.
- Enable the printing option to allow printing directly from the email.
Step 1: Set up automatic invoice creation
Successfully create an invoice by following the below-mentioned steps.
- Navigating to Invoice/Packing > Invoice > General.
- Move to the Automate invoice creation field in the General section. Select the statuses for automatically creating Invoices.
- The default order statuses are Pending payment, Processing, On hold, Completed, Cancelled, Refunded, Failed, and Draft.
Step 2: Attach the generated invoice as PDF to the order emails
In this step, attach the generated invoices to the necessary emails. The plugin allows attaching Invoices to both Admin and Customer emails.
- In the General section, Enable Attach invoice PDF to admin email feature. This will attach an invoice PDF to the new order email notification.
Please note, PDF will be attached only if the order placement status is the same as the invoice generation status. If the order placement status is “on hold” and the chosen status for invoice generation is “Processing”. Then the plugin won’t attach the PDF copy along with the new order email.
- To attach the Invoice PDF to the Customer email, select the required order statuses in the Attach invoice PDF in customer email option. The available default order statuses change based on the statutes set in the Automate invoice creation field.
Step 3: Enable the printing option
Finally, enable the print option for customers to have print provision from the order email, order listing page, and order details page.
- Move to the Show print invoice button for customer option in the General section. Select the necessary pages from here.
The below images show a new order email with an invoice PDF attachment and an order confirmation mail with an invoice PDF attachment.
