Setting up the coupon
To set up the discount:
- From the WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Smart Coupons > Add coupon.
- Key in a Coupon code and description.
- Navigate to the Coupon data metabox.
- From the General tab, select the Discount type as Fixed cart discount and set the Coupon amount to 20.
- Navigate to the Purchase history tab.
- From the Number of orders drop-down, select greater than or equal to and set the value to 1. Now, the coupon is only valid for users who have purchased at least one product from the store.
- Set the Order date to within the last 10 days and enter the value 10 in the field. For the coupon to be valid, one of the user’s past orders must have been placed within the last ten days.
- Additionally, enable Exclude already awarded customers to restrict the coupon usage to once per user.
- Alternatively, you can use the Usage restriction, Usage limits, and other tabs to set up additional restrictions and conditions.
- Publish the coupon.
